Kate emigrated from San Francisco to Fort Collins in December of 2010. Kate was last seen as Kate in The After Party (which she also produced), and before that as Joanne in Rent with OpenStage Theatre & Company.   Other Fort Collins roles include Helena in  A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Emelia in Othello at OST, and Mariela in Mariela in the Desert and a Daughter in Quilters at Bas Bleu Theatre Company.

Other favorite roles include the Barbara Pitts track in The Laramie Project, where she understudied the original Tectonic Theatre Company members at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Katherine in Henry V, Mistress Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Rosaline in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Dr. Charlotte in Falsettoland, a Tribe Member in Hair, Miriam Aarons in The Women,  and the title role in the Cassandra’s Call production of “Sweetie” Tanya: The Demon Barista of Valencia Street, which was written for her.

She hosted several cabarets and open mics during her 12 years in San Francisco, including gigs at The Plush Room, The Lush Lounge, Cafe de Paris, Octavia Lounge, Johnny Foley’s Irish House, and The Purple Onion.  She produced her first cabaret show, Starting Over!…again: Cabaret for the Atari Generation with Jeffrey Van Dyk in 2004, and  co-hosted the Song of the Month club with jazz singer Benn Bacot at Martuni’s in 2007.

When not onstage, Kate enjoys performing on the Lyra (aerial hoop) whenever she can.  She is on the Board of Directors for the Fort Collins Chamber Music Society, and is a company member and the current Company Manager of OpenStage Theatre & Company.

Kate and her husband, David, have a son Ivan, and a daughter, Marlowe.  They are the luckiest Mommy and Daddy in the world, and are thrilled to be in Fort Collins where their children can grow up along side all of the other theatre kids in town.
